ABOUT ME

Hi, I'm Anup Kulkarni, a wildlife photographer, cinematographer, and conservation storyteller with a passion for capturing the beauty of the natural world and inspiring a deeper connection with nature.
My journey began in filmmaking, where I developed a strong foundation in visual storytelling. Over time, that passion led me into the wilderness, where I discovered the privilege of observing and documenting wildlife in its natural habitat. Through my photography, I strive to capture authentic moments that reveal the beauty, behavior, and character of wild animals while highlighting the importance of protecting the ecosystems they call home.
Originally from India and now based in the United States, I have spent years exploring diverse landscapes and photographing a wide variety of wildlife. Whether it's the intensity of a predator, the elegance of a bird in flight, or a quiet moment in nature, my goal is to create images that inspire appreciation, curiosity, and respect for the natural world.
Beyond photography, I am committed to wildlife education and conservation awareness. I actively engage in conservation initiatives, seminars, and awareness programs that focus on species behavior and ecology, migration patterns, habitat loss, poaching, pollution, climate change, and responsible wildlife tourism and photography ethics. I have participated in discussions and campaigns addressing critical conservation issues, including protecting wetlands for migratory birds, preserving tiger habitats, promoting coexistence between humans and wildlife, and reducing the impact of plastic pollution on marine ecosystems.
As both a cinematographer and wildlife photographer, I believe visual storytelling has the power to educate, inspire, and encourage positive action. This website is a collection of my wildlife encounters and photographic journeys, shared with the hope of fostering a greater appreciation for nature and supporting the ongoing efforts to conserve it for future generations.
