AK Wildlife Media LLC is a Southern California-based visual media company specializing in wildlife photography, cinematic film, and conservation communications. Founded by award-winning cinematographer and wildlife photographer Anup Kulkarni, the company brings together field photography, filmmaking, VFX experience, and professional color finishing to create polished visual content for wildlife and conservation organizations.

My journey began in filmmaking, where I developed a strong foundation in visual storytelling. Over time, that passion led me into the wilderness, where I discovered the privilege of observing and documenting wildlife in its natural habitat. Through my photography, I strive to capture authentic moments that reveal the beauty, behavior, and character of wild animals while highlighting the importance of protecting the ecosystems they call home.

Beyond photography, I am committed to wildlife education and conservation awareness. I actively engage in conservation initiatives, seminars, and awareness programs that focus on species behavior and ecology, migration patterns, habitat loss, poaching, pollution, climate change, and responsible wildlife tourism and photography ethics. I have participated in discussions and campaigns addressing critical conservation issues, including protecting wetlands for migratory birds, preserving tiger habitats, promoting coexistence between humans and wildlife, and reducing the impact of plastic pollution on marine ecosystems.

As both a cinematographer and wildlife photographer, I believe visual storytelling has the power to educate, inspire, and encourage positive action.
